All My Children

A little later than I had hoped, but nevertheless a big All My Children filled update for this week!

On January 5th All My Children celebrated its 40th anniversary. In honour of the special occassion the show did a special featured around Kelly Ripa's charcter "Hayley Santos" and her television show in LA, along with Pine Valley being named the best town in the United States. For this episode residents were interviewed whether they were in town or off visiting other places and the Slaters were amongst this group. While Zach and Kendall did the interview, there was a short scene of them with their boys during the shows opening credits. Congratulations boys on being a part of the opening credits for All My Children's 40th Anniversary!!

The celebrations weren't over yet this week when we got a second...and final scene (unless a Pine Valley resident has a flashback memory in the coming months of 'Spike') for All My Children, and also a tease as the show led fans to believe that last month we saw the Slater family for the last time. Greenlee dreamed of coming back to town and seeing Zach and Kendall along with Spike and Ian like back in the 'old days'. Here I would like to mention that the caps and the clip is blurry but the scene was purposely filmed that way.

Lastly, a wonderful All My Children related treat. With this week's scenes comes two episode stills! One of the opening credits for the anniversary episode and one from the scene from Greenlee's dream.

With All My Children now wrapped up for Alex Ben Caleb and Christian we look to see what is next, a new baby sister is coming this month, and who knows what the future holds. All My Children has provided a wonderful opportunity and has been a wonderful experience for them between getting to experience the industry, meeting new friends and making lasting memories. Best of luck to All My Children and everyone involved in the cast and crew. Thank-you All My Children for 3 amazing years!!!!

A little surprise update! We all watched 'Spike' leave town with his family and believed that it would be the last we would see of the Slater family, but...I am happy to say that we do have some more scenes coming up. Many of you Im sure saw a glimpse of the boys today in the opening credits for AMC's special 40th Anniversary episode, and tomorrow...we get another episode featuring the boys! Clips and screencaps will be added for today and tomorrow by Thursday and we would like to wish All My Children a Happy 40th Anniversary!

Yesterday many of you turned on All My Children and watched the show, just like every other day you tune in. Something was different however, the show ended with Zach Slater turning off the light at the Slater home and saying "goodbye". This was because it was the last day for Thorsten Kaye "Zach" and Alicia Minshew "Kendall", and this also meant that this week was Alex Ben and Caleb's last week as "Spike" as the Slater family has now left town and the show is in the process of moving production to LA. We did not get to see the boys in this final episode however we did see their photos on the piano and they were featured in All My Children's Happy Holidays segment, screencaps for both as well as clips for both scenes can be found on the site. I have added yesterday's episode because we do see photos but also it is the closing scene for the family in which the boys have been a strong part of since July 2007, and it feels fitting that it be here.

All My Children has given Alex Ben Caleb and Christian such a wonderful experience and opened up many opportunities for them. We would like to thank All My Children, ABC, the actors, crew members and all of the friends the boys have made during their time on the show. We also wish everyone the best out in LA and cannont wait to see what opportunties arise in the future.
