Biography
Benjamin August Eckstein was born on April 21, 2006, the middle brother of the triplets at Paoli Hospital in Pennsylvania. With two very happy parents and an excited big brother, this brown hair and blue eyed baby boy was to be destined for great things. Benjamin and his triplet brothers Alexander and Caleb already took home the award for being the first set of triplets born at that particular hospital, and it would continue from there.
Benjamin along with brothers Alexander and Caleb took over the role of Spike Lavery on ABC's All My Children in spring 2007. Right away they were involved in one of the show's big summer storylines where Spike is involved in a car crash and it is later discovered he is deaf. The boys saw a lot of airtime in the summer months playing out the storyline alongside talents such as Cameron Mathison (Dancing with the Stars, EXTRA) and the Queen of Daytime herself Susan Lucci. The storyline continues to play out to this day as Spike has undergone surgery for a cochlear implant. Sadly, January 2010 marked the wrap up for playing Spike as the show began filming in Los Angeles.
In the fall of 2007 Ben, Alex and Caleb shot the role of "Mrs. Pickthall's Grandson" for Dreamworks' "Ghost Town". While all three boys filmed for the role, Alex's scene made the final product. In the spring of 2008, Ben and his family shot a series of online Diaper Genie commercials. Starring with two other families the boys appeared in four segments including one that focused solely upon the Eckstein family. This year, Ben as well as Alex and Caleb, have aired in Ugly Betty and filmed scenes for Boardwalk Empire.
While not filming, Ben enjoys playing with his brothers and competing with big brother Christian for the "Top Dog" status in the house. Ben especially loves to play with cars and drive them on the table. As well he also loves to be the comedian/skootch of the bunch, sing and dance.
